Business Financial Data (for Services):
Bank/credit card transactions
Accounting records (QBO/Xero/FreshBooks)
Invoices, receipts, contracts (from email/Drive)
Communication history (Gmail/Slack/WhatsApp for collections)
Account Data:
Business name, EIN/tax ID, contact info
Billing/payment details
Usage Data:
Interactions with Wise AI
Device/browser info, IP address
2. How We Use Data
Deliver Services: Automate reconciliation, categorization, reporting, invoice chasing.
Improve AI: Aggregate/anonymize data to train Wise (no individual business data used).
Compliance: CPA review, audit trails.
Communications: Service updates, billing.
Security: Fraud detection, access logs.
3. Data Sharing
Never Sold:
We do not sell your data.
Shared With:
Service Providers: Plaid (banks), AWS (hosting), Stripe (payments), accountants (review).
Legal: Only if required by law (subpoena, audit).
Business Transfer: In merger/acquisition (same privacy protections).
4. Security
Data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).
SOC 2 Type II compliant.
Access controls, audit logs.

5. Retention
Delete data within 30 days of cancellation (backup for 90 days).
Financial records retained 7 years for compliance (anonymized after).
